Why Should I Care About the Environment?

Many people ask the question: why should I care about the environment? After all the world doesn’t look like Wall-E. There’s still trees and grass. It’s not hot all the time. Does the environment really need my help?

First of all, yes, the environment needs your help. There’s litter everywhere. The sea levels are rising. The food industry is causing species to go extinct. Deserts are expanding. The temperature of the globe is rising. While all this may not be your fault, it’s still happening. You can help.

Why should you help? Because this is your world. This is your friends’ world, your family’s world, your future children’s world. You deserve lush world. The people you care about deserve a lush world. Your future children a lush world.

If you care about yourself, the people of this earth, and the people of the future, you will care for the environment. It’s not hard.

All you have to do is clean up after yourself. Make sure your garbage goes in the trash. Try to recycle when you can. Cut out plastic where you can. Don’t waste your food. There’s so many things you can do to reduce your carbon footprint.

Respect yourself. Respect the environment.
